LumbarMate™ is a 360 degree wrap around back brace designed to provide compression, protection and support for the lower back. It relieves lower back pain and improves stability with the use of specially contoured lumbosacral steel and flexible support plates. These plates are removable and can be slotted into a back pocket built into the brace.
Special double pull tension straps push the support plates against the spine, providing compression and support for the lower back.
The support plates are contoured to follow the spinal curve. This compression aligns the spine, restores the spinal curvature, improves posture, and helps relieve pinched nerves that could cause sciatica, a pain that runs down the buttocks and legs.
LumbarMate™ helps to stabilize your lower back, reduce micro-motions at the affected spinal segment, distribute the spinal forces evenly, and spread the weight across the body. It helps limit twisting and bending movements that may aggravate existing injury, or cause new ones. This allows your injury to heal naturally within a shorter period of time.

The back support plate and side splints add extra strength and pressure to your lower back. The primary plate is specially shaped to match your spine's natural curve, while the two splints are slightly curved to support the quadratus lumborum muscles on both sides of your lower back. There are both rigid and flexible supports available for your choosing. LumbarMate™ includes not just one, but two sets of support plates – one in tough steel for sturdy and enhanced compression, perfect for those needing stronger support. The other set is made of flexible plastic, offering more flexibility for movement.
LumbarMate™ includes 3 detachable therapy pads to further aid in the recovery process. These pads can be attached to the insides of the brace with Velcro.
This pad contains small tourmaline stones that heat up naturally on contact with the skin. It providessoothing hot compress therapyto helpimprove blood circulationby dilating the blood vessels in the affected area. Thisbrings nutrients to the affected area, therebyaccelerating the healing processandreducing pain, back stiffness and soreness.
This pad, made from breathable fabric, includes a pocket forinserting an ice-packif required. Treating an injury with ice, calledcold compress, helpsslow down blood flow,reducing inflammationandswellingthat causes pain.
This soft velvet pad provides an additional layer of warmth and comfort on cool days.

Wearing LumbarMate™ is easy. Simply follow the steps in the image
Measure around your abdomen using the diagram below, then refer to the sizing chart with your measurement. Remember to select the correct size before placing your order. Do not rely on your pants size or waist size as these may be inaccurate. If your measurement is at the upper boundary of a size range, please select the next bigger size. For example, if your measurement is 36 inches, please select 'large'.
LumbarMate™has a steel plate for support. The plate is curved to follow the spinal curve. As you wear it, the plate pushes against your spine, keeping you straight. This posture reduces pain caused by pinched nerves. It also includes a self-heating pad to help reduce inflammation and improve blood circulation.
Back braces found elsewhere mostly lack any rigid support. Some may have soft plastic strips, which are ineffective. They also lack any heating function. Other belts may have inbuilt heat pads, but do not offer any support. LumbarMate™ offers the best of both worlds - a steel plate for lumbar support, as well as a heat pad for heat therapy. Both of them are removable, so you may wear the belt in any configuration.
Please do not wash with a washing machine. Remove all the pads and steel plates, then wash with warm water and soap, and air dry. This will ensure that the materials will not be damaged and to assure a long life of the brace.
